15.3.14 Asylum & Insanity

Asylum Seeker

There must be, amongst the numerous applications, many that are with some merit.  One that most definitely is NOT worthy of consideration is that of Ruth Nabuguzi.  Having stolen £4.1million in benefits from UK taxpayers (through claims in a 20-year scam involving the stolen identities of about 100 children) she is now making out that her family is angry and that her actions have brought shame in Uganda.  As well as this, she obtained drugs worth £2million which were for made-up patients, and then sold them to real HIV and aids sufferers, at great profit.  Rather confusing is the point that £154,000 was spent on 'family' for education.  If the family is 'shamed', then it is rather two-faced because it took the money without much concern as to its provenance. This cunt needs to be deported.

Insanity

Paul Daniels is an annoying little man at the best of times, but I find his moaning about tax rather distasteful.  Apparently he spent some money making some changes to his mother's house, so that in her last years she could stay at home rather then go to a care home.  That's very noble, although I'd suggest that this was the least he could do considering his comfortable life etc.  Indeed, he is not saying he is unhappy at having to do this, nor that he didn't want to do it.  Now that she has passed away, he is bleating about a tax bill.  He is claiming that he's got to pay £136,000 because he cared for his mother.  Having bought the house she as living in and keeping it in his name, he is liable for Capital Gains Tax on the profit he's made on it.  Rather than accept his fortunate position, he is whinging.

He will have to pay £136,000 when he sells it.  Boo-Fucking-hoo!  He spent some money (on what is his own second home) adapting it for his mother, before now having to sell it for a decent profit.  To claim that his efforts saved the taxpayer money as his mother did not have to be catered for in a care home is possible factual, but is a pathetic basis for expanding the gripe to the tax regime that has no doubt served him rather well over the years.  The distasteful comment from him on his blog, as follows, portrays him in an odious light:

"In any business you are allowed to claim expenses against tax."

So your mother was a business!?  This was NOT a fucking 'business', as you were allegedly caring for your mother.  This perverse slant that is maintained among rich twats that everything is (or should be) tax-deductable is nauseating!  If I helped my mother, I'd not be asking for, let alone expecting to receive, a tax break!  What a horrible view you have, Mr D.

TWAT.
