11.3.14 Useless Fucking Judges

Judge Peter Bowers in 2012 apparently told a burglar: "It takes a huge amount of courage as far as I can see for someone to burgle somebody's house; I wouldn't have the nerve."  He added: "I think prison very rarely does any good."

What sort of fucking twat-in-a-wig gives this sort of comment, when his job is supposed to be dishing out proper justice.  Things have not got any better, and his example is clearly not an unusual one.  It is no wonder that only 22% of offenders who've committed a third offence are jailed for 3 or more years.  The "three strikes" law is there for a reason, but in 78% of cases, judges are ignoring the law, and letting people off!

What fucking hope is there for any of us if the judges cannot carry out the wishes of the people and Parliament?  If they're all as limp as the above, then there's no surprise.  He may have been given a reprimand just over a year ago for that useless input and comment to a Teesside burglar (before giving a 12-month suspended sentence instead of the 3-year jail term required, but it is clear there are loads of other twats in wigs whose 'discretion' that can be exercised in exceptional circumstances is being used as the fucking norm.
