11.3.14 Cheryl Tweedy - Smelling of Roses

I thought we'd seen the back of Tweedy, but apparently Simon Cowell still has enough guilt over the X-Factor USA debacle to offer her an overpaid stint on this year's X-Factor.

Smelling of Roses

I have no idea why this alleged singer (with a very weak voice) is worthy of such attention and accolades, and I am certainly resentful of the hype surrounding her "comeback" on TV.  £1.5 million is lunacy.

I fail to see why she's the "nation's sweetheart", as The Sun would have us all believe.  She can't really sing, and some would argue that she struggles to talk and/or be understood - isn't that at the heart of the problem in the States, and the cause of the fallout?

I believe that Cheryl split from Ashley Cole some considerable time ago, and so as a consequence, might like to consider finally letting go by relinquishing his name - or perhaps it sounds a bit better than "Tweedy", hence the reluctance to forego 'Cole' as a surname.  Not quite the free spirit you claim to be, eh?
