9.10.13 What A Fucked Up Justice System
I despair at the uselessness of this country to operate in any way approaching 'sensibly' or 'fairly', let alone with any sense of fucking justice being evident. I read today of the latest faux-fuckin-pas by a judge who deserves the sack. I refer to the case of the handbag snatcher, Claire White. In the style of 'Through The Keyhole', let's look at the evidence.
The Judge
Mark Berry decided to let her off, stating that her giving birth while in custody was "punishment enough" and also let off her boyfriend, Timothy Myers.
The Two Scumbags
The pair were caught snatching handbags from shoppers in Hull. White was six months pregnant when caught running across a supermarket car park. At the time she was on a suspended sentence! The security guard who tried to stop them was assaulted by Timothy Myers. Aside from these activities at Sainsbury's, it was clear they had already spent time thieving from other retailers, after goods were discovered at their home from Debenhams and ELC - along with Advantage Cards for Boots.
So, White admitted 11 charges of theft, and Myers admitted 5 thefts, assault and possession of Diazepam. They were each given a 12-month community order by Judge Useless.
So, taking into account all of the details, is there anyone who thinks this pair ought to be out-and-about, let alone in charge of a baby? I fear for the kid, if the parents are such low life, causing havoc for numerous shoppers. It is deplorable that stealing bags, wallets (and causing for the victims massive inconvenience let alone loss of money) and goods from shops is treated so lightly. What exactly was the cunting point of giving the woman a suspended sentence for something in the past when it served no purpose in deterring her from committing further crime? The judge is not reflecting the needs and expectations of the general public. As for the kid, its odds of receiving any normal upbringing let alone a moral perspective are very long.
