12.10.13 Dire TV - Channel of the Year
Well as if there isn't reason enough to completely avoid the Jonathan Ross show on ITV, there's added incentive today after seeing that the nauseating JR is joined by Cilla Black, with the whining, wailing wazzock James Arthur providing the whining and wailing. This all more than outweighs any mild positives in listening to a couple of sentences from Tom Hanks or Sandra Bullock. Aside from the plugging of their films, I believe that JR will deny them any more than a sentence or two each, with any other interaction being linked to the self-obsessed JR, and thus either puerile, crass, full of pathetic innuendo or simply bollocks. Watching a talk show should mean gaining input from the guests, whereas JR's rule is that every show must be 87% about himself.
ITV is smugly forcing us to acknowledge of a supposedly 'Channel of the Year' status, after what was almost certainly another pointless award. The 'award winning' label is a pet hate of mind, as there is no need to have mos of the awards at all!
If ITV is, as claimed, the answer to our prayers for 2013, then I have a few questions, and nothing better exemplifies concerns over ITV being an unworthy winner than the programme schedule for tomorrow afternoon:
10.30 - 12.30 = Columbo [shown for probably the 317th time]
Then, after the news, a run of lazy repeats of very recently shown programmes:
1.45 - 4.00 = The X-Factor
4.00 - 4,25 = Fool Britannia (Repeat)
4.25 - 5.30 = Big Star's Little Star
5.30 - 6.35 = Downton Abbey
Channel of the Year my arse! Worse than all of this though is the hour from 11.05pm on Monday night:
Piers Morgan's Life Stories: Gordon Brown Special
Get a fucking grip, ITV - he's been in a cave for a few years now (where he should agruably have been for all the time he was at Number 10 or Number 11 Downing Street) and the general public has no interest in this twat.
