13.12.12 Missing Syllables & Letters
Tempory - The problem with the mispronunciation of this word is that it's never a temporary thing.
Particuly - It is particularly annoying to hear this non-existent 'word' used so commonly.
Reguly - I regularly hear this pathetic and lazy utterance.
Vunrable - This is so prevalent that we are all vulnerable to attack by illiterate arses.
Contempory - This is a contemporary issue, what with standard having hit an all-time low.
Deteriate - I have watched the standard of English and grammar deteriorate significantly.
Probally - It is probably fair to say that things will only get worse.
Alternate - There is no alternative approach for me; I will simply continue to highlight mistakes.
Authoritive - Even an authoritative approach has little impact on offenders, who revel in ignorance.
Secretry - The job of secretary has all but disappeared, so there is no check on correspondence.
Libry - No one bothers to use the library anymore, and the world is dumbing down.
Customry - It's customary to get this wrong, nowadays.
Spectaculy - This is spectacularly fucked up by many people.
Fith, Sikth or Twelth of Febuary - Do I really need to explain? No.
There are very many more examples; quantative/quantitative, honoury/honourary, disoriented/disorientated, vetinry/vetinary, inventry/inventory . . . . . . .
Standards will probally deteriate spectaculy, particuly as it's now customry not to care. It's particuly frustrating to hear Febuary reguly mispronounced and it's not a tempory problem. There's no alternate but to admit defeat.
