The Ryanair pilot, just before take-off on the Leeds to Malaga flight, gave a run down of the route he'd be taking. The phrase "going past Exeter" cropped up, and I found myself asking what the fuck use it was to be told we would be "going past Exeter", and concluded (silently) that it was a pointless and uninteresting piece of information I need not log. At however-many-thousand-feet in the air, what may be being "passed" by an aeroplane is as irrelevant as Kerry Katona.
